Hi, my name is
Eduardo Moreira!

My name is Eduardo Moreira. From starting my career as an English teacher at age 14, to running a language school in Brazil at age 19, to developing a new approach to language teaching and learning at 24, I have actively pursued my passion for education and language learning. In this journey, I have continuously caught myself asking questions on how I can help make education more brain-friendly and language learning more effective.

My professional and academic experiences have sparked my interest to dive into non-traditional teaching approaches. I found I could use neuroscientific findings in my educational practice and make language learning faster and more effective. This energized me to switch from teaching traditionally to fostering learner-centered environments.

In Brazil, we have a generation of adults who cannot speak English because they believe learning another language is not for them. This problematic belief is not founded in their intelligence or ability but is a result of the country’s outdated teaching approaches. Addressing this challenge entails redesigning these learning environments, and hence their impact on learners. My experience working with Brazilians of different age groups and socio-economic backgrounds, as well as my aspirations related to equity in education and social justice have led me to iteratively create learning approaches and tools.
