Adaptive programs to foster self-confidence in the English Language Learning Process

This series of textbooks and workbooks is the result of comprehensive research and experiments in language acquisition. Not only does it make learning more intuitive through its context-based structure, but it is also delivered in a brain-friendly manner. This means the entire series has been written and tested while observing students’ reactions and feelings. These metrics have then been compared to the actual level of language comprehension that learners are able to achieve by using this material. All levels described below are based on ACTFL guidelines.

The textbooks are mostly conversational and designed according to real-life contexts. All topics featured in them have been chosen due to their relevance when speaking a foreign language. Similarly, all structures and vocabulary have been included after cross-referencing what native English speakers would say in those contexts. Students using these books also have access to an online platform with resources to make their learning process even better and faster.

At the core of my approach is my drive to help students better understand how learning happens. Once they learn how to learn, they become aware of the different methods and approaches for language acquisition. In effect, they become critical thinkers and own their language learning process. I consider students’ different backgrounds and preferences, and that is why each detail of this series of books has been used as an opportunity to make it adaptive and effective.

Online & In-person

This series of books has been designed to adapt to leaners' different needs. They can be used in both in-person and virtual settings. Students are given access to an online platform with complementary exercises and a personal guide on how to use the books independently.

Focus on Conversation

All programs are conversational. Although workbooks have traditional writing exercises, textbooks have been designed with no multiple choice or fill-in-the-blank activities. Writing tasks become more intense after students can speak the language, in the Belong program.

Constantly Updated

Over the past three years, all materials related to the textbooks, including slides, online resources, and the books themselves have constantly been updated. Student feedback informs all design decisions.
